NSW Natural Resources & Planning Spatial Data Infrastructure Standards

The NSW Natural Resource Atlas is a portal to a range of specific websites, maps and data that together make up the NSW Natural Resources & Planning Spatial Data Infrastructure (NRP-SDI). The following standards are used in the NRAtlas and other parts of the NRP-SDI, or were recommended by the Community Access to Natural Resources Information (CANRI) Program for future SDI use.

Observations and Measurements (O&M) A framework and encoding for measurements and observations incorporating spatial and temporal coordinates, quality and other metadata.OGCDevelopment A profile for water quality data is being developed within the O&M framework.
Statewide Geology Model Holds features recorded during geological mapping. Features carry attribute data recording observations, measurements and interpretations. Values in domains conform to national standards and can also hold values used by the State agency.DPIRecommended
Water quality XML schema DNRDevelopment A schema for water quality data is being developed as a profile of the Observations and Measurements specification.
